English National Ballet: Strictly Gershwin
Strictly Gershwin is coming to the London Coliseum for the first time. This production recreates the hype of the big band and Hollywood musicals era. The dazzling production features journeys in dance from ballet to tap and ballroom to jazz, building to a shocking finale.
Strictly Gershwin highlights Gershwin’s playful tunes through dance. Some of his most famous songs Rhapsody in the Blue, An American in Paris and Summertime, are combined with Derek Deane’s choreography to conjure up this amazing performance. This performance will for sure get your toes tapping and your spirits rising. But will only be at the London Coliseum from Jan 4-15, 2012.
This will be the first time it will be performed as a proscenium arch version of the show. It was previously performed at ‘in the round’ at the Royal Albert Hall. This production is following a sold out season at the Royal Albert Hall and is now going on tour. So hurry and get your tickets for this invigorating performance!
Tickets costs vary, depending on where you want to sit, from 10 pounds to 67 pounds. This is a really good deal for this amazing show that will be filled with ballet, tap, ballroom, and jazz. With the diversity of acts there is for sure something for everyone.
