St. Patty’s Day London Celebrations
The London St. Patrick's Day Parade is one of London's liveliest celebrations. The Parade involves marching bands, colorful floats, street theater and more. All 32 Irish counties are represented and dressed in their traditional colors. The parade ends in Trafalgar Square where more Irish festivities continue.
Party like the Irish in London. The Mayor of London hosts the St. Patrick's Day Parade and Festival. Last year over 100,000 people came to participate in all the Irish events. The Parade will start at noon on March 18, 2012 at Green Park and travel to Trafalgar Square. Bring the family to celebrate everything Irish with laughter, fun and for 21+ some Guinness.
Trafalgar Square will host the festival aspect of the merriments until 6pm. There will be live Irish music and dance on the main performance stage. Over the course of the day you will be able to witness some of the best Irish music and dance from traditional to contemporary.
Everything about this event is totally free. So bring the family and friends to experience all things Irish from food and dance to crafts, culture, music and much more. If you want to see the parade it travels from Green Park to Trafalgar weaving it's way through the streets of central London. Come early to get a good spot.
