Lang Lang- Beethoven Concerto Cycle

Deemed as the hottest artist on the classical musical planet by the New York Times. Plus after his sold out performance in 2010 at the Royal Albert Hall, he is back to perform his complete Beethoven Piano Concerto cycle for the first time ever in London for just a few days in March.

29 year-old Lang Lang has played sold out recitals and concerts in every major city in the world. In 2008 over 5 billion people viewed his performance in Beijing’s opening ceremony for the Summer Olympics.  In 2009 he was named one of Time Magazine’s 100 most influential people. Now a hot artist on the classical music planet his show at the Royal Albert Hall is sure to be sold out again in March.

There will be three showings between March 20 and the 23. He will be joined by the acclaimed conductor Pekka Salonen and the Philharmonia Orchestra. Each night will showcase three pieces in 25-minute intervals. The line-up is different each night.  So hurry and book a ticket before it sales out.

The first showing will March 20 at 7:45 pm showcasing Beethoven - Overture, Namensfeier, Op. 115; Beethoven - Piano Concerto No. 1 in C major, Op. 15; andBeethoven - Piano Concerto No. 4 in G major, Op. 58. The second concert will be March 21 at 7:45 pm showcasing Beethoven - Overture, Leonore No. 2, Op. 72a; Beethoven - Piano Concerto No. 2 in B flat major, Op. 19; and Beethoven - Piano Concerto No. 3 in C minor, Op. 37. The third and last concert will be March 23 at 7:45 pm showcasing Beethoven - Overture, King Stephen, Op. 117; Beethoven - Symphony No. 4 in B flat major, Op. 60; and Beethoven - Piano Concerto No. 5 in E flat major, Emperor, Op. 73.
