Some shops look great to the eye, but even better through the lens. And so it is with Wingate Studio = Shop which I liked immediately but fell for hook, line and sinker while taking these pictures. Sam’s urban screenprints deserve close inspection, with every tower block and pub building imbued with sullen beauty. He sells some lovely creations by friends as well, including the wondrously calming Takae Mizutani “memory of Falmouth” ceramic boats, which instantly whisk you out of the urban landscape to the seaside. Climb the narrow staircase up to Wingate Studio = Shop and enjoy.
