Be aware that at least 250,000 people will also want to catch a glimpse of the fireworks. Some of the best spots include Westminster Bridge and Victoria Embankment. Note that once areas are full, they are closed off, so make sure to arrive early.
Take a river cruise
A more romantic and upscale choice is to view the fireworks on the water. A river cruise on the Thames avoids traffic and ensures a special moment.

No matter what spot you choose, consider yourself lucky to be at one of the most recognized New Year’s celebrations. Once the clock strikes midnight, the famous Big Ben will chime. For 10 full minutes, fireworks will light the London sky. New Year’s Day
After the big celebration and hitting a few pubs and getting somewhat pissed, another celebration awaits. For 25 years, London's New Year parade has provided entertainment for all to enjoy. Over 10,000 performers parade from Piccadilly to Parliament Square. The crowds bring half a million viewers.
Attending the parade also means benefitting those who have donated money to a wide range of London based charities. Grandstand tickets or Concert Area tickets are available months in advance, but attending the parade as a crowd attendee is free.
