I suspect that in years to come Comptoir Libanais may become a bigger part of the cityscape with outlets here and there, but for now it is such an original, so beautifully and comprehensively charming, that I find myself, in the manner of my dog Harry, rolling over and wagging my tail in joyful submission. Metaphorically speaking, so far at least. The fresh, bud-tickling Lebanese food, the bright, breezy decor and the joy of an easy-going bite in this part of town have won me over. It must be said that I find myself in this part of town quite a bit more now that Comptoir Libannais has arrived.
